Wild West Bass Trail hosts an angler seminar tomorrow. The event, which is free and open to the public, is a chance for fans to meet with professional anglers.

The anglers who will be on hand include Bryant Smith, Jason Borofka, Ken Mah, Tai Au, Jimmy Savoini and Shane Moline. They will teach fishing techniques and give tips. The seminar also includes information about competitive tournaments on the West Coast and nationally sponsored/branded boats on display.

The angler seminar is part of the 2017 Lucas Oil Western Classic Championship. The bass fishing tournament takes place Sept. 8 through Sept. 10 at Lake Mead. Two hundred of the best pro- and co-anglers from the western region, including Nevada, California, Arizona, Oregon, Utah, Colorado and Washington, are expected to compete.

The public can watch the fish weigh-ins at 2 p.m. each day of the tournament at Callville Bay Marina, 100 Callville Rd., at Lake Mead. They will also be broadcast live on WWBT’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. The top pro- and co-anglers at the championship will each receive a Ranger boat with an Evinrude – a combined value over $90,000 – and split the prize payout, which is valued at over $150,000.

Television coverage for WWBT, including the 2017 Lucas Oil Western Classic Championship, will be available to national and regional audiences through broadcasts on The Pursuit Channel, Fox Sports West and Fox Sports Arizona. The unique, participant-focused show will share perspectives from participating tournament anglers, as well as supporting sponsors and tournament crews.
