Christmas Tree Recycling
December 19, 2023 - January 11, 2024
The City of Henderson offers Christmas tree recycling at 10 differently locations annually. Recycling your tree helps ensure the sustainability of our community by saving valuable landfill space. When chipped into mulch, cut trees become valuable organic material used in landscaping projects that help conserve soil moisture and keep plants healthy.
Bring your fresh tree (no artificial or flocked trees) to one of the following locations for recycling.

What Happens to the Trees
The recycled trees are turned into mulch and placed around City park trees to provide nutrients, limit weed growth, and limit mechanical damage to trunks. We encourage you to use mulch under your trees too!
Free mulch is available at Pecos Legacy Park and Acacia Demonstration Gardens (Acacia Park). Bring your own shovel and container.
