Bark In The Park

Bring your two-legged and four-legged family members to the 12th annual Bark In the Park at Cornerstone Park. There will be demonstrations by the Henderson Police Department K-9 Unit, vendor booths, fun contests, and other informational booths. If you want to add a furry family member, you can meet lots of adorable dogs looking for “forever” homes. Remember that all pets must be leashed, handlers must be at least 10 years old, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets!
And don’t forget to look for the Inspirada booth while you’re there!
St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

Celebrate the luck of the Irish at the 49th annual Southern Nevada Sons & Daughters of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival! The three day celebration’s theme is “love, loyalty, friendship,” and includes a carnival, festival, car show and plenty of live entertainment. Don’t miss out on the Carrolier Academy of Irish Dance performances or live music courtesy of Machine Gun Kellys and other acts. Admission is complimentary while the carnival rides require purchased tickets.
Inspirada All A’Bloom Spring Home, Gardening & Health Fair
Saturday, March 14, 9 am – 12 pm

All A’Bloom is a day full of fun, gardening demos, music and prizes. Get ideas for your next outdoor living, landscaping or DIY project. It will feature over 20 different vendors, many with demos and projects to educate and keep you entertained. Join Master Gardeners from the University of Nevada Reno and the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension to discuss gardening in the desert, share tips and answer your questions.
And because you should feel good from the inside out, there will be an aromatherapy specialist as well as a hearing/aural health specialist. The local Girl Scouts will be on hand to distribute raffle tickets for great prizes. Bring five food items for their food drive and you earn an extra ticket!
Gardening Workshop – Fruits & Veggies for Your Spring Garden

Can’t get enough gardening? Learn how to choose a variety of plants that thrive in our native soil. Now is the time to plant cool season veggies, so come out and learn all the tips and tricks you need to care for them with a Cooperative Extension Master Gardener. Register online using the activity code 141063-58 or at any Henderson recreation center. The Acacia Demonstration Gardens is a collaborative effort between the City of Henderson, Conservation District of Southern Nevada and several other local organizations.
