Coyote Information & Workshop

We continue to have coyote sightings and disturbances within the Inspirada community. Attached are tips for minimizing the chance of having an unpleasant experience with a coyote or other predatory wildlife species. The following links may also include some helpful and useful information:

A “Living with Urban Coyotes” workshop will be held on Wednesday, August 16th at the Clark County Library, 1401 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119. The workshop is open to the public, from 7- 9 p.m. and will include a question-and-answer period. Speakers will include state and federal wildlife biologists who specialize in predatory species.
We are also working on scheduling a similar homeowner session here at Inspirada and will keep you updated when we have more information.
If you have small animals, please do not leave them unattended in your yards and be sure to remove any pet food from outside as that attracts coyotes. Also, if you have doggy doors, please close them at night. These small precautions will help deter unwanted visitors.
