Henderson is a community with heart and its residents are accustom to expressing their appreciation and spreading goodwill. The Douglas J. Green Memorial Foundation, Inspirada, and the City of Henderson are joining efforts to acknowledge and express their gratitude by sending care packages to active service men and women. But, we can’t do it without your help.

On Saturday, February, we will be assembling the care packages at Liberty High School. The community is invited to come and help assemble the packages.

Help us reach our goal of collecting and assembling 2,000 care packages for deployed military men and women!

Wish list items include:

• breakfast items
• snack foods
• jerky
• nuts
• dried fruit
• trail mix, chips
• granola bars
• gum
• candy
• cookies
• soups
• protein bars
• baby wipes

The next time you’re at the grocery store, you can throw in a few extra items to help make a soldier’s day. Donations will be accepted Jan. 8.-Feb. 10. Drop-off locations:

Volunteers are needed to assemble the care packages the day of the event, simply meet at Liberty High School the day of the event to participate.
