If you ask Inspirada residents what makes our community the best place to live, you probably won’t hear “the community manager, Deanna.” While our beautifully-built homes are the perfect place to call home, it’s our community manager, Deanna Konrad, and her team that make Inspirada special. From considering the impact of neighborhood home values, managing community spaces, and even planning events, they work behind-the-scenes to make the magic happen.
In celebration of Community Manager Appreciation day, I sat down with Deanna to learn more about her and her team.
Where are you from? When did you move to Henderson?
I am originally from Southfield, Michigan, but I moved here when I was really young. Not born and raised technically, but I might as well have been.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Oh my goodness gracious, where do I begin? A typical day is working with my team and the board and engaging with our lovely homeowners.
Side note: That’s Deanna being humble. I did some digging to find out what Deanna and her team do and found that they are in charge of a slew of responsibilities. They help residents register for card keys for access to common areas like pools and the clubhouse. You know the beautiful landscaping, sparkling pools, and pristine clubhouse facilities in the neighborhood? Deanna and her team manage the upkeep of these areas. They also oversee all community enhancement projects, manage their website and social channels to keep residents informed, and plan events like the annual Halloween Party and Spring Festival — and that’s just getting started.
What is the best part about your job?
The resident engagement. I didn’t really have a sense of that before working at Inspirada. Being right here in the community, right in the center of things is great.
What is your least favorite thing about your job?
Not being able to accommodate everyone’s requests. We do what we can, but it’s still a business and a homeowners’ association. Home values need to be maintained with a set of rules and guidelines. Having to say no when it doesn’t fit into those rules and having to come back and find a solution to tweak that request to fit into the rules.
What is your favorite spot in the community?
The Overlook of course! I love the Overlook. I love looking over the city, it’s nice and peaceful.
Favorite thing about the Henderson area?
Other than Inspirada, I’m looking forward to all the growth, especially in west Henderson. I love The District, going down to Water Street. There is so much charm that is unique to the Vegas proper or other areas for that matter.
Favorite Henderson/Inspirada events?
All of my favorite Henderson events are Inspirada events! I love the annual Halloween bash. I love seeing the kids dress up and the families have a great time together. I love seeing the adults dressed up too! They really get creative! It’s really rewarding to see the smiles on people’s faces at an event we manage.
Favorite Henderson restaurant?
I love Jolly Beans in Inspirada and I really enjoy Craft Kitchen.
Pets?
I have a French Bulldog, Leonidas (named after Gerald Butler’s character in 300), that I’m obsessed with. In fact, he is often with me when I got to the farmers market at Inspirada!
The next time you see Deanna, thank her for all the hard work she and her team do to make Inspirada the best place to live! When was the last time you took advantage of one of the four parks Deanna and her team help to maintain?
