Our Season Finale opens with a new piece by Mason Bates inspired by the controversial Steve Jobs, and brings back one of our audience’s favorite heroes, pianist Michael Sheppard. Michael will be performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.3, which is considered one of the most difficult concerti to be performed.
Fun fact: This concerto was the center of the movie “Shine” featuring Geoffrey Rush as the pianist and David Helfgott, who won an Academy Award for his role.
