Zombie Run 5K
October 20, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Henderson celebrates Halloween with the Zombie Run 5K.
This is the fifth year the City of Henderson has hosted the non-competitive fun run that is open to people of all abilities and fitness levels. The event features a course that takes participants around the lake at Cornerstone Park. Runners and walkers are encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes or as a member of the undead. And they should be prepared to avoid the hungry zombies along the 3.1-mile route.
The run is open to participants 5 years and up.
Those interested in participating in this year’s Zombie Run 5K may register online or in person at one of the city’s recreation centers using activity code 154221-58. They can also sign up at Active.com.
Run packets may be picked up between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Oct. 18 at Orangetheory Fitness, 691 Marks St., Henderson, or from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. the day of the event at the park. The first 300 registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt.
Per-person registration costs are $25 now through Sept. 20, $35 from Sept. 21-Oct. 19, and
$40 the day of the run (cash only).
If you’d prefer to participate as a volunteer and dress up like a hungry zombie, call 702-267-5705.
The city is holding a same-day Zombie 1-Mile Walk. Register online or in person at one of the city’s recreation centers using activity code 154283-58. Call 702-267-5707 for more information.
