There’s something for everyone living in Henderson to look forward to this month. Food Truck Fridays and farmers’ markets in the neighborhood, big-name concerts, and free community events fill the fall calendar as well as events that support local causes, like an adoption event and a Veteran’s Day ceremony.

Concert: Josh Turner
7 p.m. | Solista Pavilion | $29+

Multi-platinum country star Josh Turner will perform some of his greatest hits and new songs. The opening act, Sierra Black, is another country star and a Las Vegas native.

Food Truck Friday

Local food trucks will visit the neighborhood and residents can buy enjoy the food truck’s fresh eats. Some of the participants include I Luv Cotton Candy, Señor Blues, and Bone Appetit. You’ll have so many options it will be hard to choose just one!

Henderson Symphony Orchestra: Bolero for Billie Jean

8 – 10 p.m. | Henderson Pavilion | Tickets Available

Enjoy a musical evening with the sounds of 19th-century composer Maurice Ravel and his iconic bolero as well as a timely fall-themed salute to Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

Do the monster mash at this fun-filled karaoke event! Participants can dance and sing in their Halloween costumes, enter a contest, and gather some sweet treats.

Zombie Run 5k
6 – 8 p.m. | Cornerstone Park | $25+

Dress up in your Halloween costume or as a zombie and participate in this fifth annual fun run. Try to avoid the undead along the three-mile marker. The first 300 to register will receive a t-shirt.

Concert: Hairball
7:30 – 10 p.m. | Henderson Pavilion | $18.50

The band Hairball will perform a variety of homages to popular rock bands like Aerosmith and Queen. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite ‘80s rocker.

October is the month for concerts at Henderson Pavilion. The legendary 70’s band comes to Henderson to play some of their greatest hits.

Trunk or Treat
4:30 – 9 p.m. | Black Mountain Recreation Center | $3

Little ones can safely trick or treat trunks by going vehicle to vehicle on the Center’s parking lot. The trunks of the vehicles will be festively decorated to make the experience special. Dress up in your Halloween costume and enter the costume cost. Other entertainment and actives will be on site.

Inspirada Fall Festival
5 p.m. | Aventura Park | Free Admission

Get into the Halloween spirit with this fun, free, family event. Dress up in costume and join in during pumpkin decorating time. Kids can enjoy the bounce houses and gather candy. Food trucks will also be on site to serve a variety of delicious food.

Celebrate the Last Friday in October with plenty of fun activities at this event on Water Street. This community celebration focuses on arts, music, and food. Portions of the proceeds will go to support local charities.

Pet Trick-or-Treat One-Mile Walk
10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Heritage Bark Park | $5+

Dogs can get into the Halloween spirit at this event. Dress your four-legged best friend up in their favorite costume and enter them in the costume contest. Bring a trick-or-treat pail and collect dog treats as you and your dog walk along Heritage Park Trail. Let your furry family member burn off some energy at the agility course. Canned pet food donations will be accepted for the Heritage Park Senior Facility’s Meals-on-Wheels program.

Saturday, November 3 

Fall Festival and Adoption Event
1 – 4 p.m. | 2270 Lambro Street | Free Admission

Four-legged residents can bring their humans to the grassy area across from the Inspirada Townhouses for this adoption event. Treats will be provided for both dogs and humans. Pets can participate in one of four costume contests for a chance to win a gift card. Adoption fees will be waved at this event and visitors will receive a voucher, good for thirty days, if they are interested in other pets available for adoption at the NSCPA.

Veteran’s Memorial Wall Ceremony
10 a.m. | Henderson Amphitheatre | Free Admission

The City of Henderson’s annual Veteran’s Day ceremony will honor all those who have served. Local veteran groups, the City Council, and Basic High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC will be there to honor their services.

Walk to Defeat ALS
10:30 a.m. | Cornerstone Park | Free Admission

The Nevada Chapter of ALS Association invites you to join them for the one mile Walk to Defeat ALS. 100% of the donations raised through this event will go towards research for treatment and a cure.
