March is packed full of exciting events for everyone living in Henderson. And we mean everyone. Local events this month include garage sales, farmers’ markets, St. Patrick’s Day events for all ages, and even events for dog lovers and ABBA lovers.
Friday, March 1
Craft and Yard Sale
9 am – 1 pm | Heritage Park Senior Facility | Free Admission
Shop items like jewelry, crafts, and art at our community craft and yard sale. If you’re interested in selling, you’ll need to reserve their spot. Free to attend, it costs $10 if you would like a vendor booth.
Saturday, March 2
Giant Garage Sale
7 am – 12 pm | Black Mountain Recreation Center | Free Admission
Attention Inspirada residents! You can get a head start on spring cleaning and find gently-used gems at the Giant Garage Sale. Admission to shop is free. If you want to sell, a vendor booth is for $20 and you’ll need to register in advance.
A Royal Tea Party Affair
10 am – 11:30 am | Whitney Mesa Recreation Center | $5
Become a princess or prince for a day! Children aged 4-12 are invited to dress in their best royal attire to enjoy a fun-filled hour of crafts, games, and a royal tea party. Refreshments will be served, reserve your spot in advance.

Kids Art in the Park
10:30 am – 11:15 am | Valley View Recreation Center | $5
Is there a better way to welcome spring than by flying a kite? Yes, actually: making one! For $5, your kid (ages 2-6) can craft their own kite to fly in the park and enjoy a snack and drink. Reserve your child’s spot in advance by using code 151301-48.
Thursday, March 7
Inspirada Manager Meet-Up
6 pm – 8 pm | Solista Community Center | Free Admission
Join the Inspirada community manager, Deanna Konrad, and several others to discuss updates to our community. This is the perfect chance to ask any questions about projects and business associations or to make suggestions about how the neighborhood could improve. Refreshments and light snacks will be served.

Vintage Market & Craft Sale
7 am – 2 pm | Silver Springs Recreation Center | Free Admission
Love vintage? If digging for antique bargains sounds like your ideal Saturday morning, you’ll want to check out this event. Home décor, clothes, books, and much more will be on site. Admission is free. If you would like a vendor booth the cost is $20 and you’ll need to register at least one week in advance.
fresh52 Farmers’ Market at Inspirada
9 am – 1 pm | Solista Pavilion | Free Admission
Don’t miss out on the first fresh52 Farmers’ Market of 2019! Local vendors will be on site selling fresh organic produce, holistic oils, handcrafted jewelry, freshly-baked goods, and more. Don’t forget to share your favorite finds with the hashtag #MyInspirada. This event repeats on March 23.
Compassion Live Presents the Roadshow Tour 2019
6 pm – 10 pm | Henderson Pavilion | Tickets start at $20 (not including taxes or fees)– VIP tickets are also available
Christian music fans will love this 2019 lineup. The event is family friendly and performers are some of today’s top Christian artists. Musicians Mathew West, Tenth Avenue North, Matt Maher, Michael W. Smith, and Leanna Crawford will perform.
Bark in the Park
10 am – 2 pm | Cornerstone Park | Free Admission, $10 per dog for the 1-Mile Agility Course
This 16th annual event is fun for the whole family. Your dog can make new friends, play, and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon. There will be a pet cake walk, a pet psychic, demonstrations, and some adorable dogs up for adoption.
The event will also feature an obstacle course; if you register your dog ($10) they will receive a commemorative bandana.

Snack & Splash Power Hour
6 pm – 7 pm | Heritage Park Aquatic Complex | Free Admission
The Aquatic Complex’s regular event will have extra special treats during this power hour. Enjoy some cotton candy, popcorn, and live music as you listen to information on upcoming family-friendly events.
Resident Adversary Committee (RAC) Meeting

St. Patrick’s Day Park Crawl

St. Patrick’s Day Festival & Parade

This weekend-long event is taking over Water Street. Play games at the carnival and hop on a ride. Watch Saturday’s parade and attend the car show. With so many things to do, you’ll never have a dull moment. Just don’t forget to wear green!

Paint & Pizza Party: Superhero

Are you looking for a fun event to cap off the week for your kids? Children ages 5-12 will have a blast as they chow down on some pizza and paint a themed picture using glitter, sponges, and brushes. This event’s theme is superheroes.
Mamma Mia

The national tour of a new classic comes to Henderson. Mamma Mia is the hit Broadway and film musical about love and family set to the tune of Abba’s greatest hits. Don’t miss out. The show repeats next week, on March 29-30th.

Whitney Ranch Aquatics Kids’ Triathlon
7:30 am – 1 pm | Whitney Ranch Activity Pool | $5
Bring your bike, towel, and running shoes! This triathlon was made for kids looking to have fun, make friends, and show their skills by competing on three different tracks. Kids between 6-15 can enter the competition and race alongside their age groups.
