Lego Night at the Green Valley Library

Do you enjoy building with LEGO bricks? The Green Valley Library is hosting a Lego Night where kids and parents can let their creativity soar. Henderson Parks & Trails Tour

Having parks, playgrounds and trails near homes is a priority to the city of Henderson. In fact, Henderson was recently named a Playful City USA community for the eighth time, and the only city in Nevada to receive this recognition.
Get acquainted with the outdoors and take a 2.5-hour bus tour that highlights current and upcoming parks, along with the 120+ mile trail system in Henderson. Registration is required and space is limited. Register online using the activity code 643051-59 or at any recreation center or pool.
Intro to Desert Gardening

The Southern Nevada Master Gardener Program is part of a nationwide volunteer program that serves the community and teaches the public how to garden successfully. They will hold a workshop at the Solista Community Center where amateur and avid gardeners alike can get together and share tips and tricks. Learn to master gardening in our desert environments.

The District at Green Valley Ranch hosts a weekly Outdoor Picture Show on The Green every Saturday night at dusk. The outdoor movies are open to the public. Pack some lawn chairs, popcorn and blankets and enjoy an outdoor movie with friends and family.

Stich and Moan: Crafting Club

Bring your crocheting, knitting, quilting, or other needlecraft supplies and projects to the Gibson Library Program Room to a morning of crafting. Share your ideas, questions, and love of needlecrafts with others, and learn from the experience of advanced members. And if you know your stuff, you can advise those who are just beginners. Stitch and Moan meets bi-weekly on Fridays, from 10 am until 11:30 am, so you can hone your craft.

Take your green thumb to the next level. This workshop is being led by Denise McConnell, a Master Gardener with the Southern Nevada Master Gardeners since 1997. She also teaches the landscape design module for the Master Gardener Program.
