The mark of a connected community is how well it works together. On April 26, residents of the active Henderson community at Inspirada joined forces for a common cause, during National Volunteer Month, by giving back at their springtime Garage Sale.
Neighbors were invited to clean out their closets and garages for a community-wide donation at Solista Park, said Inspirada Community Manager Jeremy McClain. A Goodwill truck was on premises to collect the items.
“The Garage Sale is great fun for a number of reasons,” McClain said. “One, everyone who participates shares the news, so we get a good turnout of donations. Two, it’s an easy way to meet new neighbors when people come out with their items for the day. And three, Inspirada strengthens its ties to the Henderson nonprofit community with its donation. The fact that we held it during National Volunteer Month was a bonus.”
The April Garage Sale is one of a number of social, recreational and charitable activities planned at Inspirada. Every month, the Inspirada Community Association staff helps residents of this active Henderson community stay informed, connected and engaged with a calendar of resident-oriented events, homeowners’ association meetings, monthly e-letters and regular online communication.
“As people visit to learn more about the community, we welcome them to stop by Solista Park and ask us about what’s next at Inspirada,” McClain said. “There is always something in the works.”
