The future of Inspirada will get off to a ‘ground-breaking’ start on January 11, as two of its newest parks will be ushered in with the New Year.
A special morning ceremony that welcomes community officials, project partners, Inspirada residents and realtors marks the initiation of construction on two signature parks – Capriola and Potenza, which mean “somersault” and “listen,” respectively, in Italian.
With a celebratory “61-shovel salute,” which recognizes the City of Henderson’s 61st birthday, the parks’ ground breaking officially begins an exciting growth trajectory for the master planned community. Capriola and Potenza Parks will join existing Solista Park to form a fully integrated park system that encourages dynamic lifestyles and connected neighborhoods, and will be the 60th and 61st city parks, respectively, within Henderson.
The current Solista Park at Inspirada features four acres of BBQ/picnic areas, an outdoor amphitheater, lighted bocce courts and playgrounds. With the two additional parks, residents and homebuyers can look forward to even more options for outdoor recreation, sports play and social activities.
Potenza Park will be packed with three tennis courts, two basketball courts, two soccer/multi-use fields, an inviting picnic area, three ramadas and wide, expansive area just for you and your favorite dogs. For the little ones, Potenza Park will have a splash pad/water play area and a colorful Tot Lot Playground with plenty of tensile shade.
Capriola Park will inspire your active side with a pool, large open spaces and multi-use courts for all types of activity. Capriola Park also welcomes kids of all ages with a Tot Lot Playground for younger children, plus a special fitness area designed for teenagers.
The builders of Inspirada – KB Home, Toll Brothers, Pardee Homes and Beazer Homes – view the planned park system as integral in creating a truly unique home destination in Henderson.
“There are a lot of master plans where people are just selling the house, but we wanted to offer something more,” said Robert McGibney, president of KBHome’s Las Vegas Division. “Not only did we want to offer a wide selection of customizable new homes, but we also wanted to offer a community feel, where people can get out and interact with each other. Inspirada will give them a forum to do that with all of the amenities that it will have.”
The January 11 ground breaking will include key dignitaries from the City of Henderson and southern Nevada. Refreshments and activities for Inspirada’s children will be provided.
“We thank everyone who worked with us to continue the growth and development of Inspirada into a dynamic community that will inspire so many with its energetic vision,” McGibney said. “This is the beginning of many great things to come.”
