Cozying up indoors is nice and all, but try telling that to your adventure-loving furry friends. January is National Walk Your Pet Month, and beyond the obvious health benefits, walking your pets has countless positive rewards. Inspirada is a pet lover’s dream residence with plenty of trails and Henderson parks integrated into the community for lovely, long walks. The convenience of simply walking out your front door and having multiple options to get exercise for your pup is important to us and to you.
Capriola Park has a one-acre fenced dog park where you can unleash and get blood pumping with a brisk game of fetch or tug of war. There’s even a special doggie fountain available! Take a stroll up to The Overlook for beautiful scenic views of the surrounding mountains, Henderson and the Las Vegas lights with your best friend. And if one dog park wasn’t enough, Aventura Park, which opens in late spring, will have a second pooch park as part of its 20-acre park plan.
Funny enough, January is also National Train Your Dog Month, of which walking is a key component. Walking around Inspirada is a largely social event; with neighbors, other pets, new friends, sights, sounds and plenty of sniffs to be taken in. Walks are a great way to reinforce the bond between you and your pet, and the fresh air is invigorating and vital to their health and yours!
And don’t forget that all the Henderson parks at Inspirada are open to the public and maintained by the City of Henderson, so check them out and invite your friends for puppy play dates!
