The City of Henderson was officially incorporated on April 16, 1953, making Henderson 62 years old this year! The same year Henderson became a city, Dwight D. Eisenhower was inaugurated president and Walt Disney’s animated Peter Pan was released in theaters. So bring your family and friends to the annual Heritage Parade & Festival and learn about Henderson’s rich history and legacy. Celebrate by attending the parade with your family, The Good Old Days car show, and two stages worth of entertainment with live music and line dancing. Admission is complimentary but festival activities are $1 each, or you can buy an all-day wristband for $5. And if you bike to the event, enjoy complimentary bike valet!

Inspirada Community-Wide Garage Sale
Saturday, April 25, 7 am – 11 am

Get up to speed on your spring cleaning and make the most with the items you don’t need. Residents are invited to register for the community-wide garage sale at Inspirada. Sell your items or donate them to a local charity on-site. There will be professional document shredding as well. A list of addresses and maps to participating homes will be handed out at the Solista Community Center the day of the sale, so come out and meet your neighbors!

Henderson Symphony Orchestra’s 2015 Season Closing Concert

Join the Henderson Symphony Orchestra during their last concert of the season, where they will be performing Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Las Vegas Master Singers and UNLV concert. Also known as “the Choral,” The Symphony No. 9 was completed in 1842 and was Beethoven’s final complete symphony. Admission is complimentary, so join Henderson’s best for an electrifying performance.
Art Festival of Henderson

Whether you are in the mood to browse or seriously shop, the Art Festival of Henderson is perfect for a weekend family outing. The event has complimentary admission, parking and even a bike valet is available. Enjoy live entertainment courtesy of Rick Arroyo Latin Jazz, John Earl & the Boogie Man Band, and Las Vegas western rock band Brumby. Hello Summer! The Grand Opening of Aventura Park

Come out to Inspirada and celebrate the Grand Opening of our newest park, Aventura Park! At over 20-acres, this park is massive. Inspirada’s four builders will feature 23 new models to tour so be sure to feed your curiosity and explore our beautifully designed new homes while you walk through our friendly community. Be the first to play on the basketball courts, run around on the soccer fields, and play with the pros!
We will have members of Liberty High School’s basketball team along with members of UNLV athletics on the fields for pickup games. UNLV’s football coach Tony Sanchez will also be there for the opening ceremony. Paseo Verde Little League will be there to test out the two new little league fields at Aventura Park, and there will be an adult kickball league ready to go as well. If you want to try your hand at tennis, we will have a local Inspiradan on hand to teach you the ropes.
Family and friends are more than welcome to join, and children will love the games, contests, elevation climbing play area, and the new splash pad. Pups will also be pleased to find a new one acre dog park as well! Join us for free food from some of the best food vendors and trucks in Las Vegas, plenty of fun and games and get a glimpse of what it’s like to live in our friendly community.
