While not as active as a hummingbird or as energetic as some of Inspirada’s residents, Tremont was unofficially named the “dog of Inspirada” because he will be one of the first canines to enjoy the coming dog park, his owner said.
Part of the plans for the new Capriola and Potenza Parks, a dog park will welcome the canine neighbors who also call Inspirada home. A groundbreaking ceremony for the amenity-filled parks was held January 11, 2014, and Tremont, a three-year-old, 205-pound Newfoundland breed was enjoying the festivities with owner, John Zukowski, originally of New York.
While the large, resting dog was not a sprinting, jumping testament to the dynamic parks being built, he did embody other characteristics of the Inspirada community. He was friendly, gentle and a people magnet. His furry magnitude drew other dog-loving people to him – and each other – throughout the event.
“He’s named after the biggest street in the Bronx,” Zukowski said. “He’s a good dog.”
