Jolly Mart Is Now Open!

Forgot to get milk at the grocery store? Need to buy a last-minute gift or satiate a sweet tooth? Residents and visitors of Inspirada can now visit the new local convenience store —Jolly Mart!

Located next to the Solista Park, a Henderson park inside the Inspirada community, Jolly Mart sits next to Jolly Beans Café. Both businesses are owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team and Inspirada residents Edwin and Heidi Enrile.

The market opened its doors for business on Sat., Aug. 12 to a neighborhood that is “very supportive and excited,” Edwin Enrile says.

Inside, shoppers can find items like various beverages, snack items, dairy options, fruits and vegetables, cleaning supplies, cooking ingredients, pool maintenance items, office and school supplies, dog and cat supplies, over the counter medicines, health and beauty supplies, and specialty gifts for sale. The Enriles are also considering adding a display cabinet, called the “Neighbor’s Corner,” to showcase items crafted by Inspirada entrepreneurs.

So what are the Enrile’s favorite items? Edwin’s favorite product offering is the specialty candies and Heidi’s is the 100% cotton Turkish bath towels and other retail items that make great gifts for any friend or family. “I’m sure once we’re open, more residents will request certain products, which we will certainly consider carrying,” Edwin says.

Along with the unique product offerings, a key component of their business plan is to seek out other opportunities to help their community. The couple recently catered the “Boohoo Breakfast,” the celebratory first-day-of-school breakfast at the Inspirada neighborhood’s charter school, Pinecrest Academy. Additionally, the couple plans to continue charitable works, like the school-supply drive they recently completed at the café benefiting Kermit Booker Elementary School. After the positive feedback, the Enriles also plan to implement more “Mommy & Me” play dates at the café.

The Enriles and their three sons have been residents of Inspirada for over three years. When they’re not managing their two business ventures, both Edwin and Heidi Enrile are working full-time in the real estate industry or cheering on their two-eldest boys at various Henderson parks as they play soccer.

Having all these responsibilities isn’t without its hardships. Edwin Enrile admits, “we have had to sacrifice a great deal of family time for work and the two businesses,” but “we won’t rest until these two businesses are successful, profitable, but more importantly, that they continue to be an integral part of Inspirada, for Inspirada.”
