At Inspirada’s Fright Night, Solista Park and Pavilion were transformed into a spooky, crazy and funny playground that welcomed more than 1,000 residents. Adults and children donned their best costumes and walked among the Haunted Haze pumpkin patch, created by the Inspirada Community Home Association team to inspire laughs and gasps.
While a DJ filled the air with music, residents learned how to melt witches’ heads during a special Mad Science workshop. Everyone enjoyed pizza, cotton candy, popcorn and loads of candy, all donated by local companies. Inspirada’s community landscaper, ValleyCrest, contributed 300 mini-pumpkins to the event, and Cache MediaWorks captured the fun with on-site printed photos.
The following weekend, on Oct. 31, Inspirada judges browsed the active Henderson community for the best of the scariest.
More than a third of Inspirada’s residents turned their houses into creative contenders in the “Haunt Your House” contest. The Medinas won first place and a $100 prepaid VISA card with a lawn that featured an inflatable skeleton riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Second-place winners, the Laskies, won a $50 VISA card for their ghost-ridden abode. Congratulations to the winners!
Get in the spirit at upcoming Inspirada festivities, including the annual home decorating contest, a Saturday with Santa and the Mix, Mingle & Jingle party. Happy Holidays from Inspirada!
