Today’s younger home buyers reflect wants and needs are a bit different from 20, 10, or even five years ago. To meet this generation’s modern needs, a new kind of home is under construction right here at Inspirada.
We’re proud to welcome the Responsive Homes, built by Pardee Homes, a member of the TRI Pointe Group, in collaboration with Hanley Wood’s BUILDER Magazine. The Responsive Home project will include both a Contemporary Farmhouse and a Contemporary Transitional concept home designed to appeal to the nation’s 77 million millennials who collectively represent the largest share of the U.S population. Both homes will be showcased during the 2016 International Builders Show in Las Vegas.
Designed by Bassenian Lagoni Architects, the Responsive Homes represent a ground-breaking new approach to home design with flexible and customizable features to suit people of all ages and stages. These two concept homes focus on open, flexible spaces and indoor-outdoor flow. They include rooms with natural light and rooms with multiple functions that can change over time. Construction is underway on both homes near Potenza Park in Inspirada, where Pardee Homes already has three thriving neighborhoods.
New, multimodal research from Ketchum Global Research and Communications helped to guide the design of the Responsive Homes, especially focused on millennial home buyers and what really matters to them. The research uncovered that millennials, broadly defined as those ages 25 to 34, are mostly gravitating toward homes with urban conveniences in suburban settings, more outdoor space, and customizable living spaces. Living within walking distance to parks and schools and a sense of community are also high priorities. And, research shows that most are first-time homebuyers.
Inspirada became the obvious choice for the Responsive Homes since the lifestyle is active and community focused. Located in Henderson, it also offers quick access to urban amenities and great schools, including Pinecrest Academy scheduled to open in August. Inspirada has four highly amenitized parks, three pool areas, miles of strolling and biking trails, and is minutes from Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area, one of Southern Nevada’s finest natural wonders.
