The Top-Rated Tacos to Try in Vegas

Crunchy or soft. With guac or pico de gallo. Meat, fish, or veggie. Green salsa or red.

Yes, we’re talking tacos! And, um … *clears throat* … we’ll take them all.

Luckily for us, the Las Vegas/Henderson community is filled with restaurants and food trucks serving up the savory dish. To save yourself from the next “I don’t know, where do you want to eat?” keep reading; below you’ll find the top tacos to eat in Vegas. Enjoy.

Tacos el Gordo
Originally from California, Tacos el Gordo has so many locations now in the Las Vegas Valley that the restaurants have become ingrained with our own food culture. Every location serves up authentic Tijuana tacos, and their specialty is their adobada al pastor — a spiced pork on a house-made corn tortilla, with your choice of fresh toppings. Wash it all down with a Mexican fountain drink in flavors like Horchata, Jamaica, and Tamarindo. Heads up: there are different lines depending on which type of meat you want. And, expect a line.

Tacos & Beer
I mean the name alone makes us happy. Tacos & Beer is a spot where a bar meets a restaurant. The space is filled with beautiful yet entertaining artwork like a painting that looks like Mother Mary presenting a glowing taco. In between eyeing the artwork, place an order for the customer favorite, Baja fish tacos. These taco features beer-battered fish, served on a flour tortilla and with slaw, chili-lime crema, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Insider tip: make sure you check the calendar, as sometimes this location turns into a more “club” experience.

Taqueria el Buen Pastor

Taqueria el Buen Pastor is a food truck that serves up some tasty tacos al pastor. One of our favorite parts is the full salsa and condiments bar. Try the orange salsa.

KoMex Fusion
Ready for something a little different? KoMex Fusion serves up “komex” food, a mixture of Korean and Mexican flavors. One of these dishes is their fusion tacos, which come with your choice of meat of beef, chicken, pork, or tofu. Your order is made fresh, so expect a little extra time for them to make and serve you. Did you know? They were featured on Cooking Channel’s “Taco Trip” and on BuzzFeed’s Best Hangover Food in Las Vegas.

Carson Kitchen
Continuing the trend of unique tacos, let’s taco bout — see what we did there? — Carson Kitchen’s gyro tacos. Featuring lamb, tzatziki, feta, and tomato, it’s something different when you’re craving a taco-style meal. The restaurant is in the historic John E. Carson Hotel at 6th St. & Carson Ave. The atmosphere is relaxed yet modern, perfect for a date night or meeting up with friends. Grab a cocktail and head to the updated 1950’s hotel courtyard that features a lava rock fire pit and colorful murals or go to the rooftop patio and bar to enjoy a view.

Tacos la Carreta
Sometimes you need a late-night taco to help you get through a long night or simply to answer a midnight snack craving — no judgment here, call us next time and we’ll join — enter Tacos la Carreta. This food truck serves up delicious tacos dorados. The food truck is open late and located in Chinatown; we think grabbing a taco here is a distinctly Vegas experience.

Truck U Barbeque
Truck U Barbeque serves up the tacos from their food truck, which lists “Travelling the Roads of Beautiful Las Vegas, NV” under their location. Their tacos feature a crispy-cornflake chicken served on a flour tortilla and topped with Truck U sauce, chipotle coleslaw, and their “jalracha” sauce.
