Henderson is one of the best places to live because of our schools and access to parks and trails. But there’s something else that Henderson does particularly well but is viewed “secondly” to nearby Vegas. In a word: food. As much as we don’t want to let the tourists in on the secret, Henderson restaurants have some really fantastic food. Here are 5 of the most talked about, most crazed over, most addicting, and “must eat” items at Henderson restaurants.
The Ceviche De Camaron Tostada at Chile Caliente Tacos Y Mariscos
Henderson folks love the taco Tuesday deals served weekly, the michaeladas, and the carne asada at locally-owned Chile Caliente Tacos y Mariscos, but the item we list as the must-have is the Ceviche de Camaron Tostada — their shrimp ceviche tostada. Regulars love the freshness of the seafood mixed with the crunch.
The Monkey Bread at Kitchen Table
Owner and Chef Javier Chavez opened Kitchen Table in 2015 and it’s quickly become a Henderson hot spot. With beloved items like the pork belly benedict, peach pancakes, and bacon and egg shooters, it was hard to narrow down just one must-eat item. When you go, though, you absolutely must order the monkey bread. The dish is simply described as “sticky gooey cinnamon balls” on the menu, and hey, that’s all you really need to know.
The Chicken Gyro With Fries Lunch Special at Akropolis Gyro & Pizza
You know you’re in for a treat when a restaurant has a five-star rating on Yelp with over 213 reviews. Akropolis Gyro & Pizza serves up pasta, pizza, salads, gyros, and more and on top of the stellar food, they’re also known for their service. Their must-eat item is the wallet-friendly lunch combo chicken gyro with fries. Folks can’t seem to figure out which they like more, the gyro or the fries. And we call it a win-win when you get both.
The Short Ribs at Todd’s Unique Dining
Todd’s Unique Dining has been a Henderson staple since 2004. The restaurant serves up fresh seafood and offers wine pairings, but the Short Ribs are something that cannot be missed. While the menu is subject to change, you can expect the dish to be served with items like a jalapeno-mashed-caramelized-onion sauce.
The Miso Ramen at Ohjah Noodle House
Ohjah Noodle House has a modern, yet relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect location for a slew of dinner or lunch occurrences: from first dates to birthday dinners or simply a casual meal. The food however, is why it’s on this list. While the restaurant has stellar reviews on almost everything on the menu, the Miso Ramen is a dish that keeps bringing Henderson residents back for more. The miso ramen features chashu, bean sprouts, scallions, narutomaki — a fish cake —, egg, and ground pork.
We weren’t kidding when we said Henderson is one of the best places to live – and eat! In addition to all the great food options outside of Inspirada, we also have places to eat in our own neighborhood. Use the community map to find great eating inside Inspirada, like Jolly Beans Café.
