While builders Beazer Homes, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Toll Brothers prepare for exciting changes at Inspirada, some things remain the same. Despite transformative shifts in the housing and real estate markets during the last half decade, these four builders have remain committed to the vision of creating a dynamic, connected community since Day One.
Rob McGibney, president of KB Home’s Las Vegas Division, acknowledged the industry’s previous challenges, but sees the planned development and current activity at Inspirada as a bellwether of things to come. In January, Inspirada builders and residents celebrated the groundbreaking of two amenity-filled parks that will be the center of the growing development.
“Now we’re headed on the right path with the Inspirada Builders Group, and we are fully committed to building the project and completing the project as it’s currently designed with all the amenities and benefits that go along with that,” McGibney said.
Once complete, the Potenza and Capriola Parks will join the existing Solista Park in providing the residents with an integrated park system, centrally located within Inspirada. Amenities will include basketball courts, baseball fields, open fields, splash pads, interactive play areas for children, dog parks, and a skate plaza for teenagers.
McGibney said the vision for Inspirada never faded since the community began in 2005 and the first residents moved in 2007.
“I think from the beginning, the principles of Inspirada have stayed the same. It’s stayed about offering something that’s very unique, which is an amenity package that is really unlike any master planned community,” he said. “And we’ve worked with the residents who have been there, and they’ve been very active. One of the things we’ve tried to do since the beginning is encourage community involvement. We want people involved in their neighborhood because we believe that makes it a better place to live.”
